THE POLITICAL HORSEMEN OF OUR APOCALYPSE

The P10-billion scam allegedly masterminded by detained Janet Napoles in connivance with lawmakers and other government functionaries is against the Filipino people, especially the poor and downtrodden.
It is unbelievable and beyond comprehension, that the law, which is supposed to protect the citizens against this perfidy, has instead become the enemy and made Congress a cavernous den of thieves. In fact, Congress has been described as the biggest criminal syndicate of the Philippines, if not the whole world.
How can we stop this kind of cruelty. this barbarity--the strong (the law)against the weak and downtrodden Filipinos, most of them trying to earn an honest living?
Who will take the initiative and lead the poor and the most miserable sector to organize themselves against this injustice inflicted against them by the mighty and powerful centurions and their cohorts and even their kin?

WHERE THE FLAVOR IS

Home to where the heart is after more than 10 hours trip from San Fernando. The wife is in the house of Raul, and would stay there for probably one day more. The family of Raul, except the one who carries his name, is in Manila as a reward for the accomplishments the past two weeks.
It was El Presidente's duty to tell the young writer to tell the truth--the latter now being idolized by the Filipina expatriate . Philosophically speaking, El Presidente was a failure to explain why he had to finish the race.

UPGRADING OF LA UNION PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT WEBSITE

Been in  San Fernando City for the past two days arriving here last Wednesday. Upgrading of La Union Provincial Government Website  is almost done, but the check for the payment of translators of the Iloko version was turned over to members of the project in the presence of the officers of the Provincial Information at the Provincial capitol. The turn-over was made yesterday at the provincial information office.

Two projects lined up for the ILI (Ilokano Language Institute)group: Iloko journalism seminar and an intensive translation lecture and writeshop to be funded by the La Union Provincial Government. Also, an Ilokano autobiography of the only Ilokano awardee of the prestigious Magsaysay Award. Jose Abella, originally of Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, owns a hospital and at least two technical schools in the Ilocos. Dubbed "Jack-of-all-trades", Jose was a Feati graduate, who obtained several scholarship grants in the US mainland and completed engineering courses, i.e, civil, electrical, mechanical, aeronautics.
Based in the City of San Fernando, ILI "top guns" include Dr. Edilberto Angco, Publisher Jose Gonzales and this blogger/journalist. Membership in ILI board of regents is by invitation only. Preferred are lecturers/teachers who know the language, its grammar and,its nuances.

Translated to Iluko an article about Our Lady of Namacpacan for the La Union Provincial Government Website. We hope to finish all translations by Friday. Am taking with me short articles for translation on the way to Oscariz today. It has been more than three weeks I was away from home for the work on the bi-lingual website.

BOHOL 7.2 EARTHQUAKE

The 7.2 earthquake which hit Bohol and nearby provinces has killed at least 90 people and destroyed buildings and centuries-old churches. More casualties are expected as rescuers sift through the fallen buildings and other debris. It is one of the worst disasters that visited the country since big waves or tsunami wrecked havoc in Southern Mindanao more than ten years ago and killed more than a thousand people.

THE FASCIST AND BLIND FOLLOWERS

There were no charges against the blogger. If there were charges, what would these be? Some members suggested they talked to me before expelling me, which they did, from the organization.

But the one who calls the shot in the organization could have been extremely angry at his perceived adversary.

And so it came to pass that, except for a few who used their minds, they voted for the expulsion of the
